Fill out an application-To set up a meet and greet please click <a href="/dog-adoption.html">HERE for a dog application</a> or <a href="/cat-adoption.html">click HERE for a cat application</a>, if you have any questions about the applications don't hesitate to e-mail us, at secondchanceLV@gmail.com<br /><br />2. Meet and Greet/Home Visit- The meet and greet and home check can be done in two steps or one! This is the time where the whole family meets your potential new pet. We like to make sure that everyone that lives in the home meets the new pet, including current pets. This can be arranged to be done at your home or another location like a park, veterinary office, etc. If you have other dogs we like to start the introduction on leash in front of the house, usually with a brief walk, so the dogs feel less territorial. If the meet and greet is not done at your home, and you decide to adopt a home visit will still need to be done. The home visit is quick, and easy. We are simply making sure the home is safe for that pet in particular, we may have suggestions; like needing to secure a gate in the backyard, or making sure a wall is high enough. <br /><br />3. Contract and Adoption Fee- If everything goes well and there's a match then it's time to complete the adoption.
